Social Distancing While Boating

Boat Club Updates
All Boat Club owners will be required to use "snubbers" on the front 2 piers of all Docks OR use a boat lift.

This requirement reduces the potential of dock damage that may occur due to the wave action around our docks.  Those who choose not to do this would have individual financial responsibility for dock damage repair to the piers going forward.
Purpose / Charter
The purpose of the Boat Club is to manage the operation of the docks, collect dues, pay ongoing bills, and oversee the day-to-day maintenance and use of the owners' docks and the community docks owned by Long Bay.  The Boat Club takes direction from Long Bay on how the community docks are to be utilized and manages them accordingly.  The rest of the slips are owned by individual Long Bay residents.  Slip owners must complete a Owner Questionnaire each year.

Currently, the 6 Long Bay owned slips have differing docking time restrictions, which are posted on each slip - some provide 15 minute pick up & drop off, and others provide 2 hour docking.  Three of the Long Bay owned slips offer overnight docking with prior reservation through Evergreen Management.

To become a member of the Boat Club, a person must own property in Long Bay and then purchase a dock from someone who currently owns one.

There are also several wave runner slips that are rented for the year through Evergreen Management.  They currently are all rented and there is a waiting list kept by Evergreen Management.

LONG BAY BOAT CLUB RULES
(revised June 2019)

All boating and water safety regulations adopted by the State of NH shall be enforced.

No docking of boats outside of the designated area.

Docking time restrictions for Long Bay homeowners' slips are as labeled, and will be enforced by video surveillance, with fines for abuse of posted time limits.

Per the Declaration, all boats can be no more than 29 feet on length and weigh no more than 7,500 pounds.

Overnight docking (7 p.m. to 10 a.m.) is allowed only in designated slips with prior registration through Evergreen Management group at (603) 527-8147.  (Copy of insurance certificate and current NH boat registration must be provided to the office before date of reservation.)  The overnight docking by reservation will be limited to two weekend nights per boating season per property address.

No sleeping overnight on a boat that is docked.

No swimming, fishing, or diving from the docks.

No gasoline or re-fueling at docks.  Any boat found to be leaking fuel will be removed.

The use of alcoholic beverages on or about the docks is prohibited.

All boats shall be maintained in a safe and sanitary condition.

No golf cart parking on the water side of the railroad tracks.  Golf cart parking is in the parking lot by the pool.  Loading and unloading of golf carts is permitted in the designated area only.

All dock owners are required to use snubbers on their bow lines to reduce damage to dock piers and are highly encouraged to use approved boat lifts.  Those who choose not to have a boat lift will be personally responsible for repair to their piers caused by excessive wear and tear.  The Board agreed that the updated rule would be implemented in Spring 2019.

All rules will be strictly enforced for the safety of the Long Bay Boat Club and the owners who utilize the Long Bay Association docks.
